Books.
My love for language began with reading any book I could lay my hands on as a child. My thoughts crafted an alternate universe where there was a smarter way of doing things. I was a superhero. Always.
And then I grew up.
I tried following the diktat of making a living and worked across various industries. Always looking for something new to do, I enjoyed it all while it lasted, but I was longing for my superpowers. So, I did the next best thing.
I had a baby.
And I learned that a shift in your goals alters expectations. Now all I wanted was a good night’s sleep! On good days I clocked in about 5 hours. And somewhere in this sleep-deprived mode, a casual out-of-the-box gift idea opened the doors of freelancing as a copywriter. The money was good (and guilt-free) for this stay-at-home mum. That, folks, was my Eureka moment sans the bathtub. The rest, as they say, is too much to type.
Copy. Content. Communication.
Writing and I are in a committed relationship, and I am happy to state it’s not complicated. We recently completed our 14th Anniversary. I even have some folks attesting to that. No, I did not hold a gun to their head. It was a knife to their neck.
I am old-fashioned that way.
I juggle the roles of a Mum, Cat Human, Dog Lover, Blogger, Copy Writer, Content Provider, Communication Strategist and Digital Media Goddess, pretty much in that chaotic order. My superpower is translating blurry concepts into concrete ideas wearing my underpants on the inside. It’s 2023, bruh!
Do you think we can figure this out over coffee? Great!
